At the moment I am a student and a self-employed (think freelance) communication designer¹ with specialties in web design/development and print/publication design. I am currently looking to expand into logo design & branding, watch out you other designers!
Currently, I am a sophomore studying Communication Design at Parsons: the New School for Design located in New York, New York. I'm not some fresh design student, when I was 10 I was toying around with photoshop. I started learning html/css the year after, and picked up my first round of clients when I was 16. Since then I have found myself falling ever-so-quickly in love with design and all that it encompasses.
My dream as a designer is to eliminate the term compete and instead replace it with the word collaborate. I think a world in where designers collaborate versus compete with one another would be something truly awe-striking.
Other than design, I have a few other loves, which include, but aren't limited to my puppy Elle, listening to music, reading a good novel, seeing a theatrical performance, exploring new york city and of course, the all time favorite, spending time with friends.
Education
I graduated from LVHS in 2007 with a strong focus in chemistry. Being part of my high school's newspaper and yearbook publications and dabbling in a few art classes my last two years, I decided to redirect my focuses into art & design. I quickly put together a portfolio of everything I had and applied to Parsons in New York City, where I am currently studying Communication Design.

¹ The term communication design brings slight controversy amongst the designer community because it conflicts with the more publicly accepted term 'graphic design'. Many designers feel that the term graphic design is too limiting, referring only to pictures and images that are meant to be decorate, whereas a communication designer has to be creative and in the end deliver a message to a target audience.
